Combining safety consciousness and fashion, our products make it easy to protect yourself from carbon monoxide wherever you go.

We will help you design a bag that meets your individual needs, whether it’s a knapsack for your child, or a tote bag for business travel.  *Because most CO poisoning cases occur in the home, we strongly recommend that you install and maintain wall-mounted CO monitors in your home.

Welcome to NoCO Gear!

We are pleased to offer custom-designed bags with a unique feature - a built-in carbon monoxide detector.

Carbon monoxide (CO) is truly a silent killer; it claims more than 5,000 lives and permanently damages more than 50,000 individuals in the US each year.

Most people don’t know that a single exposure to CO can lead to death or permanent injury.

Most CO poisoning cases occur in the home, and most are due to faulty furnaces.  It is important to have your furnace serviced regularly, your chimneys inspected, and your home CO monitors well-maintained.  (Practice the Spring Forward-Fall Back schedule of CO monitor battery replacement, just as you should for your smoke detectors.)

Remember, not all smoke detectors are CO detectors, and most people who die in house fires die from the fumes (CO) and not the flames.

Even if you do take precautions and practice preventative maintenance in your home, alarmingly, many of the places we travel, and many of the places we send our loved ones to each day, lack CO monitors. Hotels, dormitories, day care centers, gymnasiums, grocery stores, and even private homes can place us at huge-and preventable-risk.

Because CO is odorless and colorless, we fail to recognize how deadly and damaging it can be. The idea behind NoCO Gear is that, if you take one of our bags along with you, you don’t need to think about those risks. The alarm will emit a piercing sound in any environment that contains dangerous levels of CO.

Our bags are shipped to you with a reliable battery-operated CO monitor already in place. All you need to do is follow simple instructions to turn it on.  Change the battery every six months, and you will be protected around-the-clock.

Your safety is our first concern.
